Here are a few pictures from my stint as a young 14-15 year old volunteer at the Idaho Bird Observatory. Funded and run by Boise State University, the Idaho Bird Observatory collects data and bands songbirds, raptors and owls for migration studies. Not pictured: the mountain lion I caught a glimpse of on a hike one day (!!!). This summer I look forward to building on my past experiences, and preparing myself for a career in wildlife biology! Although I don’t think I could ever beat the awkwardness of some of these photos.
